Upon graduating from UMR magna cum laude, Tim followed his passion for automotive electric and hybrid powertrain engineering while working with Allison Transmission, then a division of General Motors, holding various positions in power electronics and electric machine engineering for commercial and automotive vehicles.  In 2013, Tim joined BorgWarner and served in roles of increasing technical and managerial responsibility in the electrification space, receiving multiple patents and launching customers in North America, Asia and Europe. Currently, Tim is the Electric Machine Release Engineering Manager for BorgWarner in the Noblesville Technical Center in Noblesville, IN. 

Tim is from Washington, MO and met his wife Julie while working at their first job at Allison Transmission.  Julie is an OEM account manager for Allison Transmission.  They have 2 children: Daniel (11) and Rachel (9).  Daniel enjoys playing sports, including basketball and baseball.  Rachel also enjoys playing basketball as well as volleyball, softball and reading.  Both enjoy being outside with nature, fishing and traveling with the family to National Parks. 

Tim serves on the Central Indiana Society of Automotive Engineers board of directors and enjoys planning vacations for the family and coaching the kids in baseball and basketball.
