Mr. Dorf has over 40 years of professional experience in executive and engineering leadership. Dorf retired from Cisco in September of 2009. He was appointed to that role in December of 2007 when Cisco Systems acquired Navini Networks where he had been President and CEO. Previously, he held the position of CEO of Austin, Texas-based Celite Systems. Prior to that position Dorf was vice president and general manager of Nortel Network’s Broadband Access Business Unit (formerly Promatory, prior to the company’s acquisition by Nortel in March of 2000). Prior to that he served as CEO of Synch Research, President of AT&T Network Systems Caribbean and Latin America, COO AT&T Paradyne, vice president of customer support for Cullinet Software and at IBM where he held several senior management positions including site general manager (Austin, Texas) and VP of operations at ROLM Corporation.

Dorf has served as an outside director of CTI Argentina, Educate the Children Foundation, Amplifynet, Inc, Apta Software , Gearworks, Inc. and as chairman of the U.S. Section of the Brazil/U.S. Business Council. He is currently Chairman of the board of AirWalk Communications and is on the board of the National Chamber Foundation of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the executive and audit committee. He also serves on the Dean’s Advisory council for Boston University’s College of Engineering.

At Missouri S&T, Dorf has served on the Corporate Development Council, the Alumni Association Board of Directors, is a member and past president of the Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers, and a keynote speaker for the Missouri S&T Honors Academy. He also served on the Advancing Excellence Campaign Steering Committee and is a past President of the Board of Trustees.‎
