About Michael J. "Boots" Miller

Defense Language Institute, English Language Center. Staff tours included the Joint Staff, Office of SECDEF, and the EUCOM staff, primarily focused on combat operations and political military engagements. He was an exchange pilot with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), where he became the first foreign national to fly with the RAAF demonstration team called the Roulettes.  

Upon retirement from Active Duty in 2006, he was appointed as the civilian Executive Director in support of the USAF’s international training operations worldwide. He served in this capacity until his final retirement in 2017. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Deborah Sue Miller of 46 years. 

They reside in San Antonio, TX, and have three children (Amy, Chris, & Meghan) and one grandchild (Gentry Rose). Debbie is retired from the home health service industry Retirement is filled with golf, travel, grandchildren duty, and church ministry. Helping his brother farm the homestead near Mexico, Missouri, keeps him grounded in his MO roots.
