Upon graduating from UMR magna cum laude, Laura began her career with General Motors Corporation, serving in various engineering and manufacturing positions on multiple vehicle programs.  Laura was chosen as GM Fellow for her graduate degree.  Laura joined Honeywell FM&T in 2001 and served in multiple positions within Engineering, Quality, and Program Management divisions, including both technical roles and managerial positions.  Currently, Laura is the Chief Engineer of an engineering organization that includes over 1000 technical staff.  In that capacity, she leads a group of technical experts in multiple engineering domains.

 

Laura and her husband, Troy, live in Lees Summit, a suburb of Kansas City.  Troy is a mechanical engineer (also from UMR), and leads the Digital Engineering effort at Honeywell FM&T.  They have 3 daughters.  Rebekah is a sophomore studying digital animation at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.  Rachel is a senior in high school, active in multiple organizations in school and church, and plans to pursue a culinary degree and career.  Ruby is a sophomore in high school and enjoys horseback riding as a hobby.

 

Laura serves as an Elder in their church, and she and Troy enjoy traveling, friends, and keeping up with their busy teenage daughters.
