Colonel John P. Powell (Retired) is currently serving as the President of PAMCO Investments Corporation, a family
investment holding company with the purpose of managing assets for oil and gas exploration, private equity,
real-estate and other opportune business ventures. Col. Powell retired from the United States Air Force in October
2008, after 21 years of service. He retired as the Vice-Commander of Air Forces in Afghanistan, responsible
for 4,500 airmen stationed at over 27 locations across Afghanistan. He has logged over 2,200 hours in the F-15,
AT-38, and RF-4C aircraft, participated in operations including Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Northern
Watch, Provide Comfort and Desert Storm and has been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star,
Legion of Merit and other service medals during his military career.

Colonel Powell has an executive MBA degree from Northwestern University; was a National Security Fellow at
the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard; has a Master’s Degree in Operational Art and Military Science
from Air Command and Staff College; and a Master’s in Management from Troy State University. Colonel
Powell graduated in 1987 with an Aerospace Engineering Degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology, Magna Cum Laude.
