John began his career with McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) as a structural design engineer on the F/A-18. He then became a team leader in the Advance Design area working advance structural technology and aircraft configuration development. Increasing responsibility, John became a manager in Phantom Works responsible for product definition, fabrication, and testing on the Bird of Prey and X-50A Canard Rotor Wing advance prototype vehicles. John took on additional responsibilities in leading larger teams on the V-22 Airframe for Return to Flight, Phantom Works Advance Weapons programs, and T-45 follow on Navy Trainer study.

John became the Senior Manager for the Design Manufacturing Engineering function in St. Louis, MO, Macon, GA, & Mesa, AZ. Responsible for the career development and staffing of over 1300 engineers utilized in the design, analysis, and fabrication of vehicles and training systems. Currently he is the Senior Manager for the F-15 Airframe Structures teams.

John and his wife Kathie are natives of Wildwood, MO.  Kathie is a Rockwood School District employee.  They have 3 children.  Scott is a Lt. in the US Navy. Darryl is a CAD technician with Duke Manufacturing, Margaret is a ChE ‘13 graduate of Missouri S&T, employed with The Boeing Co.
