Jim founded Havco Wood Products, Inc., after working with B.F. Goodrich and Proctor and Gamble. Havco manufactures laminated flooring for OEM truck trailer manufacturers. Jim credits his business success to the problem solving that was impressed upon him at UMR, basic business skills learned at Proctor and Gamble and being fortunate enough to recognize opportunities as they presented themselves. He has served on the board of directors of Capital Bank of Cape Girardeau, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Missouri, Woodcraft Industries of St. Cloud, Minn., and the UMR/MSM Alumni Association Board of Directors.
