Dr. James Castle is an Associate Technical Fellow for the Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Metals technology team and is the on-site research leader for the team at Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T). The organization is part of BR&T, Boeing’s advanced central research and development unit. In James’s on-site leadership role, he is tasked with growing the collaborative technology research partnership between Boeing and S&T.

James is chairman of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Center for Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies, a Visiting Assistant Professor, and member of the Graduate Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering all at Missouri S&T.

James and his wife Laura (BA English 2001 UMR) are natives of Rolla, MO. James and Laura volunteer with Christian Life Center-Rolla and co-lead a small group in addition to the Castle home. They have two daughters: Madeline is a freshman at Rolla High School and dances competitively. Reese is a 6th grader at Rolla Middle School and enjoys golfing with her dad and being an anchor on the Bulldog News.

James and Laura are members of the Order of the Golden Shillelagh. James’s grandfather, Dr. James J. Scott, was a founding member of the academy for Mining Engineering. James and Laura are part of 11 MSM/UMR/S&T graduates in the extended family.
