Upon graduating from UMR magna cum laude, Anne began her career with Bell Helicopter in Ft. Worth, TX as a handling qualities engineer. After completing her PhD in helicopter aeromechanical stability, she was faculty at the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  Currently, Anne is the Assistant Chair of Mechanical Engineering at Baylor University in Waco, TX. 

Anne and her husband Loyd met while both were working at Bell Helicopter.  Loyd is semi-retired and teaching engineering at Baylor University.  They have 2 children.  Tyler is the strength and conditioning coach for the San Jose Earthquakes MLS Soccer Academy teams. Austin is pursuing a Master of Divinity in Faith, Food and Environmental Justice at Duke Divinity School. 

Anne serves on the Heart of Texas YoungLife committee and enjoys food and English Premier League football.
