Bill retired from Caterpillar as Quality Director in 2006. He joined Caterpillar in 1970 from active duty in the U.S. Army. He maintained dual careers with Caterpillar and the U.S. Army Reserve providing unique engineering challenges on 6 continents. Bill retired from the U.S. Army Reserve at the grade of Colonel in 1993. Since retiring, Bill has become involved in numerous elements of his community, including high school pre-engineering programs with the Oswego School District. He volunteers with the fire and police department, the Board of Directors in several local organizations, and several Chicago area museums.
