Bill served the Beech/Raytheon Aircraft Company for 32 years in several engineering and management positions. His efforts were in the area of government and military airborne targets, special mission aircraft, and trainer systems in both the domestic and foreign markets. Bill received the Thomas Phillips Award for Excellence in Engineering at Raytheon and held a U.S. Patent for a Control System for Propeller Driven Aircraft.

Bill worked with UMR sponsoring Raytheon funded research in the area of high-speed machining and worked to enhance the recruitment of engineers from UMR for Raytheon Aircraft.
