After graduation from MSM, Bill spent one year as a mathematical analyst for Missouri Pacific Railroad. He then entered graduate school and had teaching and research responsibilities in the Departments of Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, and Mechanical Engineering. In 1973 Bill moved to Springfield, Mo., as a research engineer with Dayco Corporation, a leading supplier of elastomeric hose and power transmission belting to automotive, agricultural, and industrial original equipment manufacturers. He is currently an advanced research engineer in the Automotive Business Unit and has expanded responsibility in fluids, fuels, filters, tensioners, and power transmission.
