Stuart Obermann is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and co-founder of the Alabama Chapter of the ALS Association, a non-profit health organization whose mission is to find a cure for and improve living with ALS, a fatal neuromuscular disease commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Representatives of the National ALS Association. He is the owner and developer of Oak Bluff on Green Mountain, a master-planned residential community in Huntsville, AL. He retired in 2012 as Chief Strategy Officer of dealnews.com, a publisher of online deals for consumer electronics. He was a founding Director of the Huntsville Angel Network, an organization that provides angel capital funding for early- and midstage companies in Alabama. Earlier, Stuart was the Chairman and CEO of Mobular Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of software and services in the Financial services industry.Previous to Mobular, he served as vice president and general manager for MessageMedia, Inc. which he joined in August 1999 when it acquired Revnet Systems, Inc. Obermann was President, CEO and a Director of Revnet. Prior to joining Revnet, Obermann held a variety of executive positions at Intergraph Corporation, a leader in the CAD/CAM industry. He earlier co-founded AEC Group, Inc., a start-up engineering software company serving as a board member and vice-president before the company was acquired by Intergraph.
