Since his graduation from UMR magna cum laude, Craig’s first career has primarily been in the areas of exploration and production in the petroleum industry. He began with Amoco as a production engineer and district engineer, then at Santa Fe Minerals in 1981, rising to the position of vice president of both domestic and international operations. In 1991 he joined Vintage Petroleum where he held various executive positions including President, CEO and Director. He helped to found Mid-Con Energy Partners in 2004 and has continued to serve as a member of its board. Since Mid-Con Energy Partners became NASDAQ listed in 2011 Craig has served as Chairman.
Craig recieved his professional degree from UMR in 2001. Also, after returning to St. Louis, Craig earned a M.A. in theology and a postmasters certificate in Biblical studies from Aquinas Institute at St. Louis University in 2007. He has established himself as a freelance writer and writes on a broad range of theological topics in both local and national venues. His first book, On God’s Path: The Unfolding Story of Humanity, was published in 2010.
