Bob worked 39 years for PPG Industries, starting at their plant in Crystal City, Mo., as a production engineer. He was assistant plant manager at Cumberland, Md., then plant manager at Creighton, Pa., before being named vice president of the Automotive and Aircraft Group. He was named vice president of the Flat Glass Division in 1977 and went to Europe in 1984 as president, PPG Industries Europe. While employed, he was active in the SAE. His civic involvement has included president, Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrova Heights, Pa., and board member of the American Hospital in Paris, France. He is a member of the MSM/UMR Athletic Hall of Fame for varsity basketball and has received the MSM/UMR Alumni Achievement Award. He retired from PPG.in 1988.
