Rich is a retired executive of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company (currently SBC).He took early retirement in 1998. Later that year, he became President of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. This position involves many civic duties throughout the St. Louis community. He serves as a board member on the 14 different social service agencies which make up the Catholic Charities Federation. Rich was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church in June 2001 and serves his parish, St. Clement of Rome in Des Peres, Mo.
