Mike joined Shell Oil in 1975; he worked in various project engineering and maintenance assignments at refineries in Shell Wood River, IL, and Shell Norco, LA. In 1978 he joined Anheuser-Busch, Companies, Inc., working on numerous project engineering and management assignments that focused on major capital projects. Mike retired in November 2008. At the time of his retirement, he was responsible for process design, new equipment evaluation, extraordinary maintenance, and process development for all Brewing projects for all domestic Brewery locations.
Mike is a Past President of the Academy, a member of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas, and a member of the American Society of Brewing Chemists.
His wife, Mary, retired in 2009 as Director of Community Relations for Lindbergh School District in St. Louis County. Mike and Mary plan to have many happy years together, traveling, hiking, biking, and enjoying their family.
