Kraig has served a term on the UMR Board of Trustees, and is an active member of the board of the Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers, where he is currently serving as vice chair of the Facilities Committee and has previously served as its president. He has also been active in other UMR activities, including speaking at the Chancellors' Leadership Class and currently serving on the board of directors of the UMR Alumni Association. Kraig is also active in industry and civic organizations and serves on the board of the St. Louis County Enterprise Centers, Design Build Institute of America, Fontbonne University, Boy Scouts of America, Missouri Goodwill Industries and is a member of the Industrial Development Research Council. Kraig recently retired from Sverdrup Corporation where he was a member of the corporate board of directors and president of Sverdrup Facilities, a design and construction firm. He is currently involved in consulting, development, and investment in various business interests. Kraig is a registered professional engineer in Missouri and is registered in 21 other states.
