As Vice President of Stadium Operations, Joe is responsible for all day-to-day building operations and game-day event management activities at Busch Stadium. He manages a staff of 25 full-time front-office employees and game-day staff of up to 800 part-time employees and contractors. Joe is responsible for managing the collective bargaining agreements with the labor unions employed by the Cardinals, as well as overseeing capital improvement projects at Busch Stadium. Joe was a member of the design team for the new ballpark and was responsible for commissioning for the start-up of the new Busch Stadium in 2006. Joe also assisted in the development of the Cardinals’Jupiter, Florida Spring Training Facility which opened in 1998. Joe is currently serving as President of the Board of Directors of the Stadium Managers Association as well as serving on the Stadium Operations Advisory Committee for Major League Baseball. Prior to joining the Cardinals in 1995, Joe worked 17 years for Anheuser-Busch Companies. There he managed engineering and construction projects for a variety of corporate facilities, including Busch Stadium. Joe has a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla.
