Jerry's career began in the Engineering Mechanics department at UMR, where he was an instructor for seven years, and later served as the university's consultant to the Department of the Army. He founded Missouri Engineering Corporation and concurrently operates commercial real estate companies in the region. Jerry developed Big Surf Water Park at the Lake of the Ozarks, where he currently serves as a director. He merged his consulting firm with the Howard R. Green Co. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 2003.He is an active member of the Consulting Engineering Council of Missouri, having served as a director, and is also a member of NSPE, MSPE, ACEC, and MCEC. In 1996, he was named an Honorary Knight of St. Patrick at UMR.
