About Jeff Simmons

Jeff Simmons is the General Manager of Oxy’s Permian CO2 business unit. Oxy is the largest oil producer in
the state of Texas and a leader in the application of miscible CO2 flooding. Previously, Jeff was the Senior VP
of Subsurface Engineering for Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation. In that role he was the functional lead for
reservoir and production engineering for Occidental worldwide, providing technical review and staff planning
for the subsurface engineering disciplines.

Jeff has 30 years of oil and gas industry experience. He is the recipient of the Society of Petroleum Engineers
Cedric Ferguson Medal and holds several patents on well testing techniques. Jeff currently serves on the
External Advisory Committee to the Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering at the University of
Texas at Austin.
