About Jayant Ramakrishnan, Ph.D.

Upon graduating from UMR, Jayant has been in the Aerospace Industry working for NASA contractors Dynacs Inc. (1988-2003), ARES Corporation (2004-2012) and Bastion Technologies (2012- Present) in Engineering and Management Positions. Jayant is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Bastion Technologies and a Board Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). 

Jayant and his wife Meena live in Houston, TX. Meena is a software engineer and has worked for Aerospace and Energy companies. They have 2 boys. Nishant is a senior at University of Texas (UT) -Austin (ME Honors) and Niraj is a junior at UT-Austin (EE (Honors) and CS (Honors – Turin Scholar)). 

Jayant serves on 4 Boards and is an avid bicyclist and supporter of the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of Texas and the MS-150 charity bicycle ride from Houston to Austin raising money for MS.
