Harold's career began in the U.S. Army shortly after he UMR. He attended Ordinance Officer Basic School and Ammunitions Officer Advanced School before serving in the First Cavalry Division in VietNam. In 1971, he began work at Trane Company, moving from development engineer to purchasing manager, before leaving to become vice president of purchasing, quality control and engineering at Roderick Arms & Tool, where he now serves as chief executive. He is an active member of SME, ASME, and AIAA. Harold's civic involvement includes fraternal memberships in the Monett Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Abou Ben Adhem, in which he has held leadership positions such as worshipful master. He has also served in several economic development organizations, including the Mercantile Bank board of directors and the Monett Chamber of Commerce, in which he was president of Monett Industrial Development Corporation.
