Greg Krekeler leads the Government Training Systems & Services organization within the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Capability Chief Engineer Office. The organization develops and sustains affordable, high fidelity families of training and simulation solutions for government customers at numerous global learning centers. The solutions include integrated live, virtual, constructive training software and simulation devices for pilots, aircrews, and maintainers, trainer device sustainment, and training instruction.
Prior to his current assignment, Greg served in various supply chain and procurement executive roles in the US, Canada, and the United Kingdom for BGS Supply Chain Planning, Fighter/DLA Sustainment, Commodities & Services, Vertical Lift programs, and the KC-46 Tanker development. He has also held leadership roles in Boeing wide enterprise sourcing.
His early career included engineering assignments in flight controls research and development, flight simulation and software development, aerodynamic vehicle configuration development, as technical lead for the F/A-18E/F high speed performance testing, and as the weapons separation team leader for the Super Hornet development.
He holds an MBA from Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, an MS in Aerospace Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas. He has served on the Board of Directors for KU Engineering School, Washington University-St. Louis Boeing Center for Supply Chain Innovation, and the Phoenix Boys and Girls Club.
Greg and his wife Karen split time between their home town of St. Louis and Phoenix Arizona and enjoy home remodeling projects, travel, outdoor sports and hiking. Their daughter Katharine, son-in-law Luke, and grandson Connor live in Knoxville TN and their son Greg III lives in Phoenix AZ working in the golf industry.
