Ed began his career at Boeing in Wichita as a stress engineer on the 777 and the 737 Next Generation. He subsequently transferred to the Boeing Defense & Space Aerodynamics Group, working in aircraft performance, flight simulation, wind tunnel testing, flight test, aerodynamic design, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). In 2005 Ed left Boeing to join the CFD group at Cessna Aircraft (now Textron Aviation). Ed is presently the manager of the Aerodynamics Department at Textron Aviation.
An active member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Ed serves on the organizing committees of the AIAA Drag Prediction Workshop, AIAA High Lift Prediction Workshop, and the annual AIAA Design/Build/Fly event.
Ed and his wife Dawn are natives of Central Missouri, and reside in Derby, Kansas. Ed and Dawn have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Favorite pastimes include hiking, kayaking, skiing, and snow-shoeing.
