David started his engineering career in 1957 as a field engineer with Hughes Tool Company in Houston, Texas. He joined Minneapolis Honeywell in October of 1960 as a sales engineer in St. Louis. He was active as a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and was selected as the Missouri State SPOKE award winner in 1963. He served as president of the Kirkwood Jaycees and helped organize the first Green Tree Festival. He was elected to the TOP HAT Club, a corporate sales award, while in Louisville, Ky. He was promoted to commercial service manager in Peoria, Ill., in 1968, and then to branch commercial manager in 1972. He was a member of the American Society of Heating and Ventilating Engineers and served on the Regional Energy Committee during the 1970’s. In 1976 he was promoted to regional service manager in Minneapolis, Minn. In 1980 he was appointed regional director of the midwest region. He was selected in 1985 as the first recipient of the LUND award, an industry first for managers. He was also recognized in 1986 as the Regional Director of the year. In 1990 he retired from Honeywell, after serving thirty years.
