Dale began his career at Owens-Illinois, Inc., as a student trainee in the Glass Container Division’s Atlanta, Ga. plant in 1961. After several assignments, he was named plant manager of the Los Angeles facility in 1979, and advanced to area manufacturing manager, and Glass Container Division vice president in 1984. He transferred to O-I Plastic Products Division in 1986 as manufacturing and engineering manager. He returned to Glass Container Division in 1990 as a manufacturing manager and was elected as a corporate officer. In 1993, he was named Technical Director of the Corporation and served in that capacity until his retirement in 1996.
