Bill was in the process of selling Concept Technology, Inc. under a 5-year plan to a 24-year employee. Concept Technology is a manufacturer of electronic based refrigeration controls and HVAC/R service instruments. He was a designer of refrigeration controls for 26 years prior to founding Concept Technology. Bill had written a booklet entitled “Patent Searching for Engineers and Inventors” to assist people in getting started in protecting their designs. He was the holder of 30 U.S. Patents with two or more in process. He had been a member of ASHRAE since 1956, an ASHRAE Fellow, and had been awarded the ASHRAE 50-year Distinguished Member Award. Bill had been a member of RSES since 1969. He was currently working part-time as a consultant for Concept Technology. His work was primarily creating new products. Bill had started a new company “Brainworks LLC” to develop new products in biomedical fields.
