Upon graduating from UMR Cum Laude, Mike began his career with McDonnell-Douglas. He held increasingly responsible engineering and management positions in Flight Test Engineering in St. Louis MO, Edwards AFB CA (F-15 Eagle), Eglin AFB FL (F-15 Eagle) and Patuxent River MD (F/A-18E/F Super Hornet). He has worked in several international locations, including Israel, South Korea and Singapore. He is currently Sr. Test Programs Manager within Boeing’s Test and Evaluation Business Unit, covering Phantom Work’s Advanced Global Strike programs.

Mike and his wife, Karen (BS CSci 1979 UMR) live in St. Peters Missouri. They have two daughters and three grandchildren. Katie is a St. Charles County librarian, local lifestyle publication writer and dance instructor. Andrea is an advertising analytics specialist with Royal Canin Pet Food in St. Charles MO, which now operates the old Bow Wow Pet Food factory in Rolla.

Mike enjoys the outdoors and competes nationally and internationally in triathlon and duathlon events. He is a current member of Team USA in both events, a ten time state cycling champion and will be running his fifth Boston Marathon in April 2017. He is a USATF certified coach and coaches adult distance runners for Fleet Feet Sports.
